Hacker Inserts Porn Into Sesame Street YouTube Channel

The Sesame Street YouTube channel is currently down after it fell victim on Sunday to a nefarious hacking entity that removed all of its content, then reprogrammed the page with hardcore porn.

Beneath the familiar Sesame Street logo, the page’s banner read, “I’TS [sic] WHERE PORN LIVES.” The page featured a 7-minute clip of an adult film, which, according to one knowledgeable Reddit user, is First Anal Quest: Angelica. It stayed up for 20 minutes.

The channel’s profile description, meanwhile, claimed responsibility for the hack on behalf of two YouTube users:

WHO DOESN’T LOVE PORN KIDS? RIGHT! EVERYONE LOVES IT! IM MREDXWX AND MY PARTNER MRSUICIDER91 ARE HERE TO BRING YOU MANY NICE CONTENT! PLEASE DON’T LET SESAME STREET TO GET THIS ACCOUNT BACK KIDS 🙁 PLEASE…LET ME AND MRSUICIDER91 HAVE IT AND WE GONNA MAKE ALL THE AMERICA HAPPY!”

While MrSuicider91 remains silent, the other alleged hacker, MrEdxwx, posted a denial message on his gaming channel.

“I did not hack Sesame Street. I am an honest YouTuber. I work hard to make quality gameplay videos, and most important I respect the community guidelines.”

So far, neither PBS, YouTube, or YouTube’s parent company Google have commented on the attack. Click the image below to see a screengrab of the hacked channel as it looked before it came down.

Update:

The Sesame Street Channel apologized to its followers over the hack, and assured the public that it has restored its original video lineups.

“We apologize for any inconvenience our audience may have experienced yesterday on our Sesame Street YouTube channel. Our channel was temporarily compromised, but we have since restored our original line-up of the best classic Sesame Street video clips featuring Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Grover, Oscar the Grouch, and the rest of the fuzzy, feathered, and googly-eyed friends you remember from childhood,” it said in a message on its profile.

It also advised viewers who wish to watch videos with their preschoolers in a “safe, child-friendly environment” to visit http://www.sesamestreet.org.
