A 36-year-old Texas guy has pleaded not responsible to battery fees following allegedly attacking his estranged wife for failing to “Like” a position update he posted to Facebook.

Benito Apolinar had posted an update to his Facebook web page about the anniversary of his mom’s demise. Indignant that the post had elicited no reaction from his spouse of 15 decades, he confronted her right after dropping off their youngsters at her residence in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on Tuesday.

“That’s amazing every person ‘Likes’ my status but you, you’re my wife. You ought to be the very first one particular to ‘Like’ my standing,” he allegedly informed her before punching her in the cheek and pulling her hair. He was reportedly below the influence of alcohol at the time.

Apolinar was arrested the same evening of the incident. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 22.
