Japan’s Nuclear Power Plant Possible Radiation Leak

Devastating earthquake followed by a tsunami have caused the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant in Japan to a problematic cooling system.

After the declaration of shut down by the Japanese government to all nuclear power plants in the country as a precautionary measures for the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan, it’s worst calamity for more than 150 years.

Residents of surrounding areas at Fukushima power plants have been ordered to leave the place and go to evacuation centers as a precautionary measures of a possible leakage from the nuclear reactor.

The Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant was constructed in 1966 and it was operated by Tokyo Electric Power Company. It is one of the world’s largest nuclear power plants.

A possible radiation leaks from this nuclear power plants could caused havoc not only to Japan but also for it’s neighboring countries who could be affected by this harsh chemicals.

The death toll have now raised to more than 1,000 people with more to come as search and retrieval operations continues with the help of different countries that have already sent their contingent to the affected areas.
