Typhoon Santi codenamed Mirinae

After the Typhoon Ramil, here comes another typhoon code-named Santi. Bagyong Santi is expected to hit Philippines in the next three days. We just hope that it’s not as deadly as Ondoy or Pepeng. Stay tuned for PAGASA latest updates about the Typhoon Santi codenamed Mirinae.

The next typhoon that will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility after Typhoon Ramil will be named Typhoon Santi.

As of today (October 28, 2009), another low pressure with international name Tropical Mirinae (will be name Typhoon Santi when it enters the Philippines) was seen near the Philippine Area of Responsibility which is estimated at 1,520 km East of Central Luzon (16.2°N 138.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 105 kph and gustiness of up to 135 kph.

Typhoon Santi is expected to enter the Philippines tonight. But this typhoon will not have any effect with the Philippine weather for the next 36 hours.
