A fictional neurological disorder (discussed in “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Season 2 Episode 5 titled “The Thong“) marked by excessive hyperactivity “Like after 5 cups of coffee”, named for the doctor who first diagnosed it and not for the shortstop Dick Groat.

“As a sufferer of Groats syndrome it hard for me to keep me concentration long enough to write this message however leaving a band isn’t like cancelling cable, these people have helped you, you got to go in there. That being said it’s hard to recap the skills you can offer a band, I remember the recap for me is like 6 months and that’s just the crib.”

Curb Your Enthusiasm:

The series has been nominated for dozens of Emmys, although it has only won once, and has won a Golden Globe. Six seasons of the series were produced and aired on HBO between 2000 and 2007. The seventh season premiered September 20, 2009.
