How To: Activate/Configure MMS, GPRS, 3G – Globe/TM, Smart, Sun

Unlike postpaid multimedia phones which comes with preconfigured sim, prepaid sims are not yet configured for 3G or WIFI access that allows you to connect to internet, or send video/photos to another contact thru MMS. So here’s how to configure it, you may opt for automatic or manual configuration. Your choice.

If your phone model is not yet on the list of supported models, you can use the nearest compatible phone model.

FOR GLOBE/TM USERS

For a list of compatible MMS & GPRS handsets, send NOKIA, ERICSSON or SAMSUNG (depending on your handset model) to 2365.

Note: Regular text messaging charges will apply.

To get your phone’s settings, text GO (handset model) to 2951. Example, GO N3650. (For a list of compatible handsets, do as instructed above)

Note: For Nokia 6220, 6600, and 6820, text GO (handset model),,1234 and send to 2951. Make sure to type in the two commas before the 1234 PIN.

Enter 1234 when asked for PIN to save settings.

Send an MMS message for only P5.00 to activate the service.

FOR SMART USERS

Setting up of MMS and GPRS handsets:
To download 3G/MMS/GPRS settings, key in SET to 211. to get supported brands, key in SET LIST and send to 211

Activating SMART MMS and GPRS:
To activate SMART GPRS, key in GPRS ON and send to 3401.
To activate SMART MMS, key in MMS ON and send to 3401.

FOR SUN CELLULAR USERS

To do an automatic configuration on your Sun Cellular mobile phone:

ACTIVATE send to 2300 (Sun will auto-recognize your phone model)
