Microsoft Bing Increases US Market Share Over Google

According to a latest ComScore report, Microsoft’s Bing has increased its Market share in the US, with the relaunched search engine grabbing a 9.9% share of the US Search market between September and October 2009.

Google continues to be the leader in this segment with a dominant 65.5% market share followed by 18% share commanded by Yahoo. Yahoo, however, has lost its share by a few points from 18.8% in September 2009. While Bing might not still be “up there” when you compare its numbers with Google, the very fact that it has been able to make a modest headway into Google’s traditional turf seems commendable.
