How to Drive Free Traffic on your Blog
There are thousands of websites created on the web every single day and keeps on growing in great numbers. With the technology now is so advance, and the internet is not a luxurious commodity unlike some years back. Creating a blog is so easy and does not need people to learn more technically.
So, you’ve got an internet, set up a new blog, and started to add good quality content. You then continue to add more content everyday. After some few posts, you review all contents and feel that they are very concise, full of meaningful ideas, and are interesting enough for your readers.
Like any blog or website, the thing is, you must do some blog promotion in order to drive traffic. There are many suggestions and answers on the web you can find about how to boost your web traffic. The strategies are there and whatever ways you’re going to implement are all effective. This is if you are giving more time and effort applying these strategies you think is very powerful.
Below are just the basic ways you can do on your new blog to to Drive Free Traffic on your Blog.
1. Provide RSS feed available to all people.
Your RSS feed is the great way of obtaining free traffic from your specific target of readers with no effort involve. Internet users love RSS because it’s the people’s newsreaders. The number of feed subscribers you have is very important. Its obvious value is retaining the number of traffic to your site. Better if you have large number of RSS subscribers, at least if about 50% of them will revisit your posts once.
2. Make an effort to Comment on other blogs.
Bloggers like to read comments which are helpful and informative. If you write an intelligent comment, more readers will likely visit your site and that is more traffic coming in your blog. Don’t write things like “nice blog” or “great post.”
A comment can be as powerful just like any normal conversation. So, think of comment that is not vindictive or annoying. Just make sure you leave comments which are respectful.
This strategy of bringing more traffic I think can be more effective especially if you are the first or among first 5 people to leave relevant comment.

3. Make it possible for an email subscription.
Aside from RSS subscriptions, subscribing to you email is another option for readers. Still many internet users do not know what RSS is and will not recognize RSS logo in a page. Almost all of the internet users know the technology of email, thus it’s still very useful and helpful. This is one of the ways to keep in touch with your readers.
4. Join social network sites.
Social network sites are everywhere. This is where people gather online to share experience, ideas, interests, meeting new friends, and communicate with others like never before.
Many bloggers are taking advantage of using social networks for a fact that these sites have many online users, millions of users, and still growing every single day.
5. Be involved in Forums.
Forums are still popular today in interacting with fellow online users. People join in forums to find answers to their problems and share their knowledge or opinions about certain topic. Join in the discussion related to your niche and get involved in the conversation with a link on your forum signature.
