The Maguindanao murders are election related crimes. These murders heralded the coming of Philippine election in 2010.
Election related murders are nothing new in the Philippines. Filipinos are noted for that. The world ever.
Election in the Philippines has never been an exercise of freedom to choose. But ” FORCE TO CHOOSE“. It is because, o matter how lowly a government elective office are in a province,
the politician’s is always open for violence. Thus, private armies abound. And if a politician is beholden to the powers that be most likely, the politicians roam freely with a platoon or more tagging along. After long years of political gimmickry with each other and trying to outdo the other party, politicians naturally have to resort to violence to intimidate the other party. The Maguindanao Massacre is a weapon for intimidation. If this goes unchecked, WORLD WAR III would start from there!
