Philippines ruled by Hacenderos
Through the history, the Philippines have been ruled by hacenderos. Since the times of the Spaniards, the hacenderos had been oppressors of Filipinos. At present, majority of hacenderos are still oppressors of the poor.
On account of this, Philippine Legislature passed the Land Reform Law and the Comprehensive Land Reform Program for the purpose of emancipating Filipinos from the bondage of the soil of the hacenderos.
Two hacenderos are running for the Presidency. Both are members of the famous COJUANGCO clan – which is famous for the Hacienda Luisita , the fiasco and all that!
People should vote accordingly to the performance of the candidates not on the results of surveys, pedigree, or connections with the Almighty.
Candidates should offer the people their track records how they fared when they were in public office – this should all that matters.
And from among the Presedentiables, I think Gordon and Bayani Fernando have better performance.
