Mall of America Field – Mall of America Field

On Thursday, The Minnesota Vikings and Mall of America® announced a partnership for the naming rights to the field that has served as the team’s home since 1982. The agreement states that the field will be called Mall of America Field at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome for a three-year period beginning October 5, 2009, and ending February 28, 2012.

“Branding the field as Mall of America Field represents an opportunity to share our name and image with an even larger nationwide audience,” said Maureen Bausch, executive vice president of business development at Mall of America. “It also connects two treasured Minnesota brands – Mall of America and the Minnesota Vikings – which adds value to both companies.” As part of the agreement, Mall of America Field will be branded with new exterior and interior signage, as well as various promotional materials.

The Minnesota Vikings (10-1) had their way with the bumbling Bears (4-7) Sunday, rolling 36-10 at Mall of America Field in Minneapolis. The loss was the Bears’ fourth in a row and sixth out of their last seven games.

Brett Favre threw three touchdown passes and the Vikings took advantage of two Jay Cutler interceptions to coast to victory. Jared Allen had two sacks and an interception for the Vikings, who won their fourth straight. It is the Vikings’ first 10-1 start since 1998.

The Mall of America location of Crave is on the 3rd floor of South Ave, across from Macy’s. The restaurant is large and spacious, with a large bar off to the left side near the entrance and a sushi bar centrally placed along the wall in the middle of the main dining room. Although the majority of seating is at tables throughout the dining room, there are also several high-backed booths that allow for more privacy. The lighting is dim and romantic, with mood lighting created by the illuminated art behind the sushi bar and the softly glowing candles at each table.
