Cablevision has announced last week that Us Open Tennis 2009 will be available on iO Sports Pak before the start of 2009 US Open Tennis championship. Cablevision has already allotted channels 399 and 795 for Standard and high-definition launch of Tennis channel.

Cablevision has urged the Tennis Channel to make its service available to Cablevision subscribers under its valid affiliation agreement, in time for the start of the U.S. Open tennis tournament.

The US Open Tennis Championships in Flushing Meadows, Queens, is one of the premier sporting events in the world. Along with the neighboring Mets at Shea Stadium, the US Open puts Queens on the sports map. The two-week tournament is held every August and September at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
