Heisman Trophy winner, 23-year-old Sam Bradford faces injury. Oklahoma Sooners quarterback, Samuel Jacob Bradford’s sprained AC joint forced him to leave the playground early against BYU. The injury was caused due to his smash into Colelby Clawson.
According to the Arlington, TX (Sports Network), the 6 foot 5 213 lbs November 8, 1987 born Samuel Jacob Bradford who is the starting quarterback from the Oklahoma Sooners College football team, could now been seen on the sidelines but into action in the middle. Bad news for his team and fans as it’s feared the kind of injury he received is not a matter of days to recover from rather it may take months.
As a result of his of his collision with Cougars linebacker Coleby Clawson just 7 seconds before the halftime, Bradford touched the surface with full force and the moment he landed he realized why he was in such writhing pain: He had a sprained AC joint. He was pulled out with a limp right hand sprawling.

Bradford, however, remains yet another illustration of why college players with his kind of ability should take the cash and run.
Returning was a tremendous risk. There was a good chance had Bradford departed last year he might’ve gone first to the Detroit Lions. Might have. The player who did, Matthew Stafford, signed a $41 million deal.
That’s what Bradford gave up and even if the shoulder injury isn’t significant it still gives something to NFL teams to obsess. They love obsessing. When contract negotiations begin, those same teams will use the injury against Bradford to try and lower his contract demands, no matter how minor it might end up being.
