RIP DJ AM Adam Goldstein – Hayley Wood

DJ AM, real name Adam Goldstein, was found dead Friday (August 28, 2009).

The celebrity DJ, is best known in pop media for his relationships with Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore. His passing away comes nearly a year after Goldstein survived a Learjet crash in South Carolina (alongside Travis Barker) that claimed the lives of four passengers and left the DJ covered with second and third degree burns.

This is amazingly sad and devastating news. It’s something I would not have believed unless I’d read reports myself with my own eyes, but it is true. DJ AM Adam Goldstein, 36, was found dead. He really did die in his apartment on Lafayette Street in Manhattan on Friday afternoon, his publicist Jenni Weinman said in a statement.

The 36-year-old who survived an airplane crash in September 2008 had been a recovering addict for nine years. But it seems that the stress of a recent break-up with girlfriend Hayley Wood and post traumatic stress disorder from the plane crash pushed him to the edge.

Sources tell TMZ that a crack pipe and prescription medications were found near the body.Hayley Wood
