Michael Jackson 1958-2009
(CNN) — Michael Jackson, the show-stopping singer whose best-selling albums — including “Off the Wall,” “Thriller” and “Bad” — and electrifying stage presence made him one of the most popular artists of all time, died Thursday, CNN has confirmed.
He was 50.
He collapsed at his residence in the Holmby Hills section of Los Angeles, California, about noon Pacific time, suffering cardiac arrest, according to brother Randy Jackson. He died at UCLA Medical Center.
Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy would probably be done on the singer Friday, with results expected that afternoon.
Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him
“It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home,” his brother Jermaine said, “however, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known.” Police said they were investigating, standard procedure in high-profile cases

What happened to Michael was so unexpected,and the feeling that got was something i cant describe. All i can say is I felt empty. I prayed for him and his family all night and i hope they are OK.But now MJ is really in a magical place free from the media,critics, but most of all free from all the pain i know he felt for so long.Michael i love you and i miss you already.
