Highlights of MTV Video Music Awards 2009

Kanye West may have grabbed the microphone from Taylor Swift while making a speech, but it was Lady Gaga who grabbed eyeballs at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards by appearing in outrageous outfit!

From her black lace Jean Paul Gaultier dress with Dragon print silk underlay to her out-of-this world streetwalker stage getup, Lady Gaga did not let anyone disappoint with their expectations, to say the least. She also walked away with the award for the Best New Artist.

Interestingly, the fascinating 24-year-old was also escorted through the red carpet with Kermit the Frog.
