The Los Angeles City Fire Department reportedly received a call from her husband Simon Monjack’s home, and Brittany was pronounced dead on arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after she went into an apparent cardiac arrest.
It was reported earlier this month that she was fired from a new movie role, for allegedly being difficult on the set.
The call made at 8.00 AM was made from the home of Monjack, she was taken to Cedars- Sinai Medical Center where she was later announced dead at 10.04 AM.
Her “Clueless” costar Alicia Silverstone told People that although the two hadn’t stayed in close touch, “I feel love in my heart for her — and hope she is at peace. This is truly sad.”
Murphy, 32, had just recently talked to “Access Hollywood,” touching on her return to work after a three-year break and on spending time with her family, and sharing her New Year’s resolution: “I’d love to have a child next year — but that’s kind of a large one.”
