Adam Lambert wicked performance on AMA
Even before Adam Lambert’s show-stopping performance at the 2009 American Music Awards was edited for the west coast feed of the awards show, the singer told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson that he felt censoring his performance would be wrong.
“You know honestly, if I offended some people… it’s apples and oranges. I’m not an artist that does things for every single person,” Adam told Access’ Shaun backstage following his racy performance of “For Your Entertainment,”
where he kissed male keyboardist Tommy Ratliff, who is straight.
Our favorite American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert performed tonight at the AMA (American Music Awards) and the performance didn’t disappoint.

Adam took the stage to end the show with a performance of his debut single “For Your Entertainment,” which has got some upset because it apparently included simulated oral sex on a male dancer.

Lambert told Rolling Stone,
“It’s a shame because I think that there’s a double standard going on in the entertainment community right now. Female performers have been doing this for years — pushing the envelope about sexuality — and the minute a man does it, everybody freaks out. It’s time to take risks, be a little more brave, time to open people’s eyes and if it offends them, then maybe I’m not for them.”
He did it all: grabbed a woman’s crotch, dragged another female dancer around by her leg, made out with an androgynous keyboardist and — perhaps most shockingly — simulated a certain sex act with a male dancer.
